Sami Stroud
Samantha (Sami) Stroud is graduating from UNM with a B.A. in Geography and East Asian Studies (Chinese concentration) and minors in Japanese and Interdisciplinary Studies in Spring 2021. She is a member of the UNM Honors College. For this project, Sami has participated in research on drinking water/water bottle cleanliness, taste, and availability; research design and development of a podcast on New Mexican water utilities and the COVID-19 pandemic; and written a white paper based on her research over the course of the project. Sami has also competed in the Water Grand Challenges’ Poster Competition for which she won the Student Poster Achievement Award. When she is not working on this project, she develops on-campus programs for student engagement at the UNM SUB. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a master’s degree in the environmental sciences field.
